Hundred-year-old creatures

Turtles are a protected species. Between hunting, jewellery-making and forest fires, they face many difficulties. As a result, the world's turtle population is declining every year. These reptiles are highly diverse and can be found in every corner of the planet. From the giant tortoise of the Galapagos Islands, which can weigh up to 417 kg, to the small Hermann tortoise, native to the Mediterranean, which weighs around 1 kg as an adult, all shapes and sizes can be found at the park. Turtles can live for hundreds of years, both on land and in the sea.
