Ski immaculate slopes with First Tracks

Every morning during the winter season, the groomers sweep across the La Plagne ski area. Their objective is to repair the irregularities of the previous day's crowds, to delight the day's skiers. First Tracks is the experience that allows early birds to get in their tracks before everyone else! In the fresh air and with small eyes, the morning spectacle of snow-covered nature is a unique and memorable experience.

Almost alone in the world, in the calm of the early morning, when all the other holidaymakers are still asleep, the slopes open up to the courageous skiers who have already donned their snow sports gear. The adventure ends with a heart-warming breakfast, before the start of a new, activity-packed day's holiday in the Paradiski area.

Sensational awakening

When night begins to give way to day, the holidaymakers are still asleep and the groomers have finished their work, it's time to set off for the First Tracks experience. The lifts set off for the adventurous group to take them to a show right in the middle of the mountains. Accompanied by ski patrollers from the resort, the small group are invited to discover the exceptional panorama. Between the fresh snow and the daylight that is beginning to reveal the surrounding Alpine relief, the view is magical.

On certain weeks, holidaymakers in search of unique landscapes can enjoy an unforgettable sunrise! The immaculate white of the snow harmonises with the changing colours of the rising sun, making for a truly breathtaking experience! Early risers will be able to make the very first tracks of the day in the snow, making the most of an excellent descent.

After the effort, the comfort

There are three options for the First Tracks experience, depending on where you are staying. Everyone meets at 7.45am at the Grande Rochette gondola for Plagne Centre, the Arpette chairlift for Plagne Bellecôte and the Montalbert gondola for Plagne Montalbert. Descents are made on the area's iconic, panoramic runs, to make the most of your early-morning adventure!

Depending on the route chosen, skiers will enjoy an included Savoyard breakfast, served in one of La Plagne's restaurants. For the departure from Plagne Centre, the ChairLift will welcome early morning skiers at the edge of the Saint-Esprit piste, in Plagne Villages. A restaurant with a varied menu, where young and old alike will find something to their liking, from morning to night.

A break by the slopes in a chalet with a unique setting, for adventurers departing from Plagne Bellecôte. The Arpette restaurant welcomes skiers from the moment the slopes open until they close, for a hot chocolate, mulled wine or a slice of lasagne.

A modern setting that blends in with the natural beauty of the mountains, a 360° view awaits adventurers setting off from Plagne Montalbert. The Le 360 restaurant is entirely glazed, decorated in wood and anthracite elements, even offering a view of Mont Blanc. Whether in the self-service restaurant or the building's own restaurant, the experience is unique, and First Tracks is sure to end on a high note.

Last Tracks for late risers

Holidaymakers who haven't had the courage to get up and take advantage of the freshly groomed snow can enjoy the last run of the day. On an Airboard, Snakegliss or Yooner, at sunset, the lucky few can discover a very different kind of sliding sensation. At Plagne Montalbert, these 30-minute descents can be enjoyed with family or friends. The Airboard is similar to a solo bodyboard, but for the snow, the Snakegliss is shared to create this fun snake and the Yooner is done in a seated position and solo.
