1,500 metres of fun

For young and old alike, sledging is a winter must! In La Plagne, sledging is so popular that a special track has been created to make the most of it. At 1,500 metres long, the track combines bends, tunnels and descents for fun on a sledge or snooc. A few falls and missed turns are to be expected if you haven't mastered the machines, but the fun with friends and family is guaranteed. Luge Colorado is a thrilling 310-metre descent where the Wild West meets the thrill of sliding.

The area is open during the same period as the ski area, from December to April; a great alternative for non-skiers who still want to enjoy the snow and the thrills. The activity is affordable, with one run costing €10 and a pack of five runs costing €40. Go to the bottom of the Colorado chairlift at Plagne Centre to pick up your ticket and set off on your adventure.

A memorable descent

There is a choice of two downhill machines: the sledge or the Snooc. The toboggan seems rather classic, but mastering it is not always as easy as it seems - you have to find the technique! The curious might prefer the Snooc, a new French machine that combines sledging and ski touring. In both cases, the descent is full of thrills, laughs... and falls.

Smile, you're being filmed! During your sensational descent, photo sensors are positioned to immortalise your passage. Fill your photo album with a unique souvenir! The digital photo is sent free of charge on request to the chalet, via the domain's Yuge application. If you'd like a printed souvenir, you can order one for €3 on site.

Other unusual routes

The La Plagne ski area has plenty of surprises in store for skiers on the slopes. Fun zones like Buffalo Park are accessible free of charge. Always via the Colorado chairlift, this trail dedicated to the Wild West is an open-air playground, adored by children. Totem poles, arches, gantries and check hands follow one another on this course where holidaymakers become real cowboys.

The mountains are also the perfect place to indulge your sweet tooth: raclette, tartiflette, fondue... and chocolate! On the Piste Mauve, keep your fingers crossed for Lila, the Milka cow, handing out chocolates in between skiing and snowboarding. Another souvenir photo, with a typical La Plagne cow.
