The two-storey cable car can carry up to 200 people and, until 2016, was the only one in the world with this capacity. Created in 2003, two cabins cross each other on parallel tracks and each can carry 2,000 passengers per hour. The journey takes just four minutes! These few moments are enough to observe, through the windows, a panoramic view of the estate. The transparent slabs on the floor offer skiers a vertiginous experience with a 360-degree view of the Ponthurin valley.
The Vanoise Express is a feat of cable car engineering. It links two ski areas: La Plagne and Les Arcs / Peisey-Vallandry. This is the lift that gave birth to the Paradiski area. The breathtaking scenery and speedy journey are a delight for the thousands of passengers who use it every year.
An essential part of the holiday week, this technological masterpiece is an attraction in its own right. On board, the landscape is respected, preserved and freely contemplated, with no pylons to obscure the view. Come on board for a day on the other side of the valley, where you'll find charm, modern architecture and high mountains... all in just four minutes!

Ski area passes
Reservations for Paradiski ski passes based on age, activities and duration. For those farthest from the windows, in the centre of the cabin, the Vertigo experience is dedicated to them! A glass panel is installed on the lower level, giving passengers (who are not afraid of heights) a bird's eye view of the valley.
Les Arcs, paradise in another valley
The Paradiski area comprises 264 runs, almost half of which are in La Plagne and the other half in Les Arcs and Peisey-Vallandry. It's not particularly useful to take a ski pass for the whole area for the whole week. The ideal is to take a day or two extension to Les Arcs and Peisey-Vallandry, to enjoy the five villages of this energetic resort. Just a five-minute cable car ride from La Plagne, the Les Arcs area is perfect for families and friends on a car-free holiday. Cross-country or downhill skiing, sledging, dog sledding, paragliding or snowmobiling? All the options are available in Les Arcs! The 200 kilometres of pistes are sure to delight holidaymakers in La Plagne, once they've crossed over to the other side of the mountain.
It's impossible not to stop off at the Aiguille Rouge footbridge! Breathtaking views over the Vanoise National Park. The highest point in the area, at 3,226 metres, is the perfect place to take a photo for your album or social networking site.

Establishment with mountain viewsUnusual crossings...
The experience of the crossing is enough in itself, but some people have been able to enjoy it in a different way...
In 2015, chef Stéphane Froidevaux brought together 36 guests for an extraordinary experience: dining 380 metres above the ground! The cabin was decorated in the chic, glamorous and elegant style of a top restaurant. Frozen at a height of 1,750 metres for an hour and a half, the participants were all customers of the station, chosen by lottery. A meal they will long remember!
In 2013, the designer Castelbajac was able to dress the cable car to celebrate the tenth anniversary of Paradiski. All the teams had to do was give him carte blanche! Passengers were able to enjoy the artist's decor for the entire season. In the same year, two renowned French highliners managed the feat of crossing a strap linking the two cabins.
