Snowshoe trekking is accessible to all, and is an endurance sport that can also be more physical depending on the altitude difference. It's an activity that's easy to do with the whole family, even with a baby. There are many signposted trails in the Les 2 Alpes area, so you can take your time and enjoy the scenery. And if you fancy getting out of the resort, there are a number of guided walks offering unforgettable experiences. They even offer gourmet walks to combine sport with tasting local produce.

Who should try snowshoeing?

If you stick to the designated trails or groomed paths, snowshoeing is not much more difficult than hiking in simple walking shoes and is accessible to everyone, even young children. Snowshoes are designed to adapt to the natural movement of walking. However, if you want to get off well-packed trails and find yourself on passages with lots of fresh snow, the effort will be more difficult. If you are a beginner, you can start with a snowshoe hike on a fairly flat path. It is not advisable to venture off-piste without a mountain guide.

Snowshoeing with your children

Snowshoeing with your children can be a real pleasure. It's a fun and easy activity. Walking in nature, snow crunching underfoot, fir trees all around, animal footprints if you're lucky, is guaranteed to fill children with wonder. With a short hike on the groomed pink slopes, they won't have to keep their snowshoes on for the whole walk. And if your children are small, a physiological baby carrier, a bike trailer with ski kit or even a pulka-type sled are ideal for peaceful outings...
