Naturlandia, 800 hectares to discover

A small country full of charm, Andorra also hides a lovely park dedicated to its nature: Naturlandia. Located near the village of Sant Julià de Loria, the park stretches between 1,600 and 2,000 metres above sea level in the La Rabassa region, surrounded by 800 hectares of forest. Like an amusement park in the middle of nature, Naturlandia is packed with experiences for young and old alike: exhibitions on flora and fauna, workshops and sports and leisure activities in both summer and winter. Visitors can enjoy archery, cycling, sleigh rides in winter, and above all the giant super-slide known as the tobotronc. Naturlandia's star attraction is actually a rollercoaster that flies through the trees. Other key activities include its zoo and ski resort. It is home to large and small mammals such as bears and wolves. In winter, the green landscape is covered in a beautiful blanket of white. The park also boasts Andorra's only cross-country ski resort, with 15 km of trails. A real breath of fresh air, this park is a great excuse to get in touch with nature.

Summer in Andorra is a playground for lovers of outdoor activities. Open all year round, the Naturlandia park, at an altitude of around 2,000 metres, is located in the heart of the La Rabassa forest in Sant Julià de Loria.

The first attraction not to be missed is the tobotronc. Climb aboard a toboggan for a long ride down a giant mountain slide. Over a length of 5.3 km, you can enjoy a breathtaking view of the pine trees as you climb. The climb through the woods takes around 15 minutes. And on the way down... it's a six-minute adrenalin rush!

As far as safety is concerned, there's nothing to worry about. The system is easy but totally reliable: the sled, placed on rails, has two brakes. Although at first sight this activity is aimed more at children than adults, the latter will also love the speed and the magical environment.

Other activities available at Naturlandia include airtrekk (a rope circuit), zip-lining, archery, buggy circuit, electric bikes, Segways and electric scooters. Activities that guarantee a good time for all! 4x4 pushchairs are also available for families.

The animal park

Bears, marmots, deer, mouflons, lynxes and wolves are invited to Naturlandia. Children (and parents too) will be delighted to discover these animals in their natural habitat, in complete safety. And to complete the experience, a visit to the forest gives visitors an insight into the ancient crafts of the Pyrenees.

A little bonus: the gardens of Juberri

It's not Andorra's best-known attraction, but it's well worth a visit. These gardens are decorated with magnificent sculptures and animal statues, skilfully combining art and nature. What's more, the views from this secret spot are stunning, the perfect opportunity to capture the moment and post it on Instagram!

In winter, the park takes on a whole new look. While the Principality is well known for its excellent downhill ski slopes, Grandvalira and Vallnord, cross-country skiing has not been left out either. In the parish of Sant Julia de Loria, the Andorran cross-country ski resort of Naturlandia-La Rabassa offers quality trails and a variety of entertainment ideal for all the family in a beautiful, natural setting.

The only cross-country ski resort in the country, but what an infrastructure! This resort offers a wonderful introduction to cross-country skiing, with its sumptuous scenery. At between 1,600 and 2,000 metres above sea level, the cross-country ski resort has a small network of classic trails for all levels of difficulty. There are around fifteen kilometres of trails winding through majestic scenery, among the pines, valleys and peaks of the Principality.

The resort has a ski school (Camp de Neu) where lessons are run by qualified and experienced instructors. The educational system is renowned for being innovative. It is based on different learning phases that guarantee pupils' progress in a perfectly safe environment.

Hiking and snowshoeing

Several hiking and snowshoeing trails are available for those who don't feel comfortable on skis. The walk through the heart of La Rabassa is well worth the diversions to discover the flora and fauna. Snowmobile and quad trips are also available. The unforgettable walks through the La Rabassa forest organised by the local mushers (sled dogs) are also worth trying out! You're in for a thrilling ride.

Fun for children ... The Andorran cross-country ski resort offers exciting activities such as snow slides equipped with lifts, themed areas for children such as the "Inuit" area where fun and educational activities are supervised by professionals.
