3 cheap hotels where you can stay just a stone's throw from the Deauville Festival (and maybe bump into your favourite stars!)

Just 250 metres from Deauville beach and just one kilometre from the famous Planches, the Pierre & Vacances Les Embruns residence offers studio apartments for four people with terrace or balcony for just €828 for 10 days, or €92 a night. Television, private bathroom, fully equipped kitchen... everything is there for the comfort of holidaymakers!

As an added bonus, the complex provides guests with board games, a children's play area and an outdoor table tennis table. Although there is no on-site restaurant, breakfast, lunch and dinner can be delivered to your flat. Value for money is unbeatable, especially during the American Film Festival.

A little further away, five kilometres from the centre of Deauville, the 3-starAmirauté Hôtel Golf Deauville offers a relaxing break away from the hustle and bustle of the festival, while still being only a few minutes from it. The Confort double room, spacious and - as its name suggests - comfortable, costs €958 for the duration of the event, an average of €106 per night.

This hotel is a real haven of peace: enjoy a good breakfast, then work out in the fitness centre, on the tennis court or on the golf course before relaxing in the swimming pool or whirlpool. In the evening, sip a cocktail in the bar, then choose from one of the estate's two restaurants for dinner.

Another option is the 4* B&B HOTEL Deauville-Touques, which offers en-suite rooms for two to four people, from €76 a night for the duration of the festival. At this price, even budget-conscious travellers will be able to afford to go (and stay in a comfortable hotel)!

Wi-Fi connection and on-site parking are 100% free, and the continental breakfast (which isn't bad!) costs €10.95. Admittedly, the hotel is not in the immediate vicinity of Deauvilletown centre and beach, but they are still within walking distance. It's still a 40-minute walk (compared with 10 minutes by car), but you can still enjoy the festival without breaking the bank!
