QC Termemilano is an establishment dedicated to well-being. To this end, the complex has created a number of areas ideal for napping or reading. You can also enjoy a range of sensory experiences, including hot and cold water, bubble baths and water massages. The aim is to take care of yourself. Outside, there are several options, including two large pools framed by glass walls that reveal the remains of ancient fortifications, and equipped with massage systems. In the water, the establishment has installed seats and furniture to sit or lie down while enjoying a hydromassage.

A bucolic stroll

Nestling close to the ramparts at the far end of the esplanade, the La Darsena garden is like a poetic stroll. Lush flora line the arches, guiding you through time and the history of the old water basin.

A little further on, a completely different route awaits us... even closer to nature. We take off our flip-flops to feel the ground and embark on a circuit entirely dedicated to bare feet. Carrara stones, pine cones and bark reactivate the circulation of the blood and spread a feeling of relaxation throughout the body.

A sauna in a tram

A more unusual sight is a yellow tramway in the centre of the garden, which makes you wonder what it's for. It's a sauna installed in an old carriage dating from 1928. Climb aboard this iconic and historic transport for a sensory journey. As an optional extra, you can add to the experience by taking a dip in the icy pool next to the tram, to tone your muscles as you leave the sauna.

A multi-sensory adventure

A variety of treatment rooms

The water and salt room is a real bubble of softness. You sit on a warm bench, surrounded by pink tiles whose colour reminds you of Himalayan salt, and let your mind wander. In the centre, a huge block of salt helps to create a marine microclimate, a source of beauty and vitality. The tranquillity and silence lull us to sleep.

Head for the La Scighera hammam, a humid cloud scented with essential oils, to clear the respiratory tract and leave your skin feeling beautifully soft. Not far away, a misty, colourful room looms in the corner. It has 3 massage tables with a system of water jets to relax and tone the body. We dry off in the 'stube', a warm room that smells of mountain pine. Make yourself comfortable on the warm benches and enjoy the sauna.

Relaxation areas

The corridor leads to several rooms with different atmospheres designed to offer a few moments of carefree relaxation. Take a nap between treatments to catch up on your sleep and, above all, relax! Mattresses in the shape of macaroons, topped with a structure that resembles a teepee, are scattered throughout a darkened room. Comfortable, soft and... lights out!

Well-being for body, mind and... taste buds

A healthy mind in a healthy body

Because taking care of yourself also means taking care of your food, and that's exactly what the QC Termemilano experience offers. A buffet of crudités, charcuterie and regional cheeses, plus a selection of fine salads. For those with a sweet tooth, there's another, slightly heartier option with a selection of traditional Italian dishes, such as lasagne, and generous side dishes. We finish on a fresh note with seasonal fruit and sweet mignardises. To accompany your meal, help yourself to a glass of Italian wine or a cold drink. Don't forget to book your lunch!

Opening times: 12pm to 3pm

Editor's note :

It is highly advisable to book a day at QC Termemilano before your stay in Milan, as the address is very popular with the locals. The Milanese enjoy a relaxing break at the weekend or on the occasion of other events such as bachelorette parties.

Around the Porta Romana

When you leave the spa, it's time to visit the area around Porta Romana. Although rarely visited, this area is steeped in history and has many attractions. This Latin arch dates back to the 16th century and stands between Corso Lodi and Corso di Porta Romana, offering a stopover between the still-present past and futuristic buildings.

The tower of the Fondation Prada, a huge 9-storey building of glass and concrete, is particularly striking. Within its walls, the contemporary museum exhibits a permanent collection of works and organises temporary exhibitions. At the very top of this modern building is a panoramic restaurant with breathtaking views.

Where to get a drink?

During the summer months, there are a few tables set up on Piazzale Medaglie D'Oro where you can enjoy a spritz and a few antipasti on the terrace. The waiters at Trapizzino wander between the tables on the terrace to serve the orange cocktail that everyone wants at aperitif time. The establishment also has a fine wine list.

Where to eat?

For meat lovers, we recommend Osteria la Carbonaia, a typical tavern founded by Enrico Giuntoni, whose speciality is T-bone meat presented in various forms and cooked. Other specialities, such as penne alla carbonaia (the house recipe for pasta Carbonara) and gnocchi with gorgonzola, are also on the menu of this delicious restaurant.
