For those on a budget, here are the markets not to be missed in Naples

Naples' markets are an integral part of local life, a place to exchange ideas, get advice and... bargains! For your trip to Naples, we advise you to leave a little free space in your suitcase. The reason is simple: the city offers some great bargains, particularly at the markets that dot the city. From handicrafts to vintage and second-hand goods, you'll be spoilt for choice.

Market in Piazza Miraglia

We are located in the heart of the historic centre, just a few steps from Piazza Bellini and behind Piazza San Domenico Maggiore, a meeting place for young people in the evening and traditional crafts enthusiasts during the day.

Here you'll find all kinds of stalls selling small and large items handmade by local artisans. Among the stalls you'll also find GuidoIltrovarobe, who recovers vintage objects and transforms them into unique works of art. Being in the historic centre, there may be more crowds at certain times of the day, so 11 a.m. is a good time to visit before your tour of Naples.

Practical information

Opening hours: daily from 11 a.m. to 8 p.m.

Poggioreale market

The Poggioreale market is one of the best known and most frequented by Neapolitans. It's the ideal place to find a bargain at rock-bottom prices on fine fabrics, clothing and designer goods.

We advise you to go early in the morning and not to take any valuables with you. Pickpockets can take advantage of the crowds and your distraction.

Practical information

Opening times: Friday, Saturday and Sunday from 7am to 2pm.

Antignano market

In the heart of the Vomero district, the Mercatino Antignano is a guarantee. The stalls get lost in the maze of narrow streets that are typical of the area, along with the smell of coffee and freshly baked bread.

You'll find everything from clothes to vintage pieces, as well as cosmetics, household items, carpets, food and shoes of all kinds and at all prices.

Practical information

Opening hours: Monday to Saturday, 7am to 2pm.

👉 As in all markets around the world, we advise you to be careful with your belongings, especially if there are lots of people!
