Toronto's best themed guided tours

When travelling to a big city, guided tours are a great way to get a first impression of this huge, unknown place. In Toronto, guided tours are very popular, and many tourist agencies organise unusual tours to attract visitors.

We've chosen four different themes for visiting the city of Toronto. So, depending on your tastes and desires, you can discover the city of your holiday as you wish. For fans of artisanal products and local specialities, a tour of Toronto based on the theme of breweries and pubs is a must.

Children and fans of fantastic stories will appreciate the thrill of night-time guided tours and the scary stories told... For sporty types and those who want to get some fresh air, we have thought of a guided tour of the city on two wheels. On the bike provided by the agency, you follow the guide who tells you the history of Toronto and anecdotes about the city's iconic monuments.

Finally, you can visit the city's 21 monuments on board the "Hop-on Hop-off" tourist bus. You buy a ticket valid for 48 hours and can hop on and off the bus at any stop.

Discover the city's best microbreweries

Why beer in Toronto?

Beer is a veritable institution in the United States and Canada. Since the 2010s, microbreweries have been booming in North America. In Toronto alone, there are around 48 breweries, so you're spoilt for choice.

Visiting Toronto while celebrating the diversity and unique taste of this age-old beverage can be a fun and different way to discover the city.

As well as the traditional lagers, ambers and browns, the city's best breweries offer you the chance to sample the latest trends in the world of beer:

  • IPA: Indian Pale Ale is one of the beers that have made a comeback in North America in recent years. Hopped with citrus notes, they are very tasty and slightly bitter.

  • Saison ale: this herbaceous-flavoured beer comes from France and Belgium. The European hops used give it fresh, fruity flavours.

  • Sour beer: as its name suggests, sour beer is a tangy, fruity beer that is starting to appear in Europe. Sour beers are very difficult to make and require real expertise.

You will visit Toronto's classic pubs and then a brewery, where you will taste and learn about brewing techniques. You will then take a tour of one of the city's markets, such as St-Lawrence Market, before ending your visit in the trendy Distillery District.
