The history of the Caracalla baths

The Caracalla thermal baths have a rich history dating back to the Roman Empire. In the 2nd century, the Romans discovered the curative virtues of Baden-Baden's thermal springs and built a complex of public baths for locals and visitors alike. Over the centuries, the baths were restored and extended to become one of the most popular spa complexes in Europe. In 1985, the Caracalla Spa was opened, inspired by the Roman architectural style and offering modern facilities for visitors.
