Whale watching on the St. Lawrence River

Let yourself be tempted by a boat trip on Quebec's emblematic river: the St. Lawrence. This river, 1,197 km long, flows from Quebec City to Montreal before heading towards the Great Lakes of Canada and the United States. Several times a year, it is the meeting point for several pods of whales. From Quebec City's river station, you can join various cruises and spend the day on the water. From there, you'll have a magnificent view of Quebec City and the Château de Frontenac. AML boats offer brunch cruises to relax with friends, dinners on the water for a romantic experience in Quebec City, and whale-watching cruises for the whole family to enjoy.

The St. Lawrence River, the road to Canada

The St. Lawrence River, which flows through Quebec City and Montreal and joins the Great Lakes of Canada and the United States, is a particularly long river, stretching 1,197 km. Its estuary is the largest in the world, with a width of 48 km and a length of 370 km. The explorer Jacques Cartier, who discovered and named Canada, arrived on this river on the feast day of Lorenzo of Rome. He decided to name it the St. Lawrence. The river flows through Quebec City and is a major commercial artery.
