With its 1,600,000 m³, the cavern has no shortage of angles from which to approach it. If you're the kind of person who likes to sit back and contemplate, you'll probably want to take in the view from one of the vertiginous metal belvederes overlooking the chasm, more than 200 metres high. Walking slowly across a glass floor, you'll be plunged 200 metres into the void by its transparency. You'll see the spectacle in your face, and feel the thrill of immoderation that goes with it.
The 50-minute tour begins in the Red Room, named for its walls coloured by the oxidation of iron salts. The concentration and size of the rare rust-coloured aragonite crystals are remarkable. The richness of the limestone formations is such that there is no equivalent in the world.
