The kingdom of sport and relaxation

Opened in 1968, the Megève Sports Centre - known as the Palais Megève - is a large complex with modern, fun sports and cultural facilities. Every year, the municipality of Megève and the staff at the Palais offer visitors a wide range of activities, developed and enhanced using the latest technologies and trends.

As well as sports facilities open to all (swimming pools, ice rink, climbing wall), the Palais Megève also has a relaxation area reserved for the over-15s. This privileged area includes a fitness room (with body-building and cardio-muscular strengthening equipment) as well as a balneotherapy area. Finally, the wellness and treatment area lets you enjoy the benefits of the sauna, hammam, jacuzzi and invigorating shower. Treatments and massages are also available at extra cost.

"A real moment of relaxation! We had a lovely morning at the Palais Megève. We stayed 3 hours juggling between indoors, outdoors, hamman and saunas." Aurélien and his partner, customers of the Palais Megève.

👉Practical information

🕛The Palais Megève is open every day (even out of season) from 8.30am to 8pm.

💰The price of the entrance ticket depends on the activities you wish to take part in. The minimum price is €4.40 per child and €5.70 per adult. You can also buy a season ticket (monthly or annual).

🙋‍♂️## Who can access the Palais Megève?

The Palais Megève is open to all, with no age restrictions. Children, accompanied by an accompanying adult, are very welcome. In summer, they'll particularly enjoy the paddling pool and water play area. Kids aged 3 to 9 can also join the Kids Club, an indoor children's area with huts, creative leisure activities and connected games (extra charge, from €9.50 per hour).

However, for safety reasons, children under 15 are not allowed in the fitness and spa areas.

Access to group lessons

In addition to the sports facilities freely available to guests, the Palais Megève also offers group classes. From yoga and aquagym to Zumba and cross-training, the programme of classes is updated every season on the resort's website. These sports sessions, led by professional sports coaches, are billed separately from the price of access to the Palais Megève. Most classes are only open to those aged 15 and over, except for special activities for children.

Slide on the Megève Olympic ice rink

For lovers of the great outdoors, the Palais Megève has an outdoor ice rink (only in winter) and a curling rink. But the centrepiece is always the large indoor Olympic ice rink. When it's not being used by visitors, who can glide freely over the 1,800m² of ice, this rink is home to the Yétis, Megève's official hockey team. Don't hesitate to attend one of the many hockey matches (regional, national or international) organised throughout the year.

⭐Where to sleep next to the Palais Megève?

Le Palais Megève is located in the heart of the town, just a stone's throw from the town centre. So you'll have no trouble finding accommodation close to this sports complex. However, the nearest hotels are the Novotel Megève Mont-Blanc and La Grange d'Arly, two luxury hotels that are very popular with travellers on Booking. Their excellent ratings attract many new guests, so it's advisable to book as early as possible, especially for high season stays (July-August and during the winter season).
