On the Corsican coast, from beach to beach, between Porto-Vecchio and Bonifacio

The south-east of Corsica is home to some of the island's most beautiful beaches and bays. It's ideal to take the time to discover these natural wonders. For around thirty kilometres, between the two main towns in this corner of Corsica, the crystal-clear waters lap the white sandy beaches. These renowned beaches** are no match for the tropical beaches of the Caribbean. Porto-Vecchio and Bonifacio are the departure or arrival points, depending on how you organise your route. We start in Porto-Vecchio and finish in Bonifacio, after enjoying the joies de la mer and contemplating the most photogenic beaches in France! During this journey, under the sign of the sea and the sun, you'll sleep close to the bewitching beach of Rondinara. The second night will be spent on Maora beach, not far from Bonifacio. A real Robinson's dream!

Day 1: Porto-Vecchio to Rondinara

After an early start, take the road to Bonifacio, the T10. Quickly turn left towards the iconic beach of Palombaggia, already a picture postcard setting. Between the granite rocks, the white sand seems to be right where it should be. This backdrop of magnificent umbrella pines is one of the most beautiful on the Tyrrhenian coast.

As an added bonus, the clear, warm water is perfect for swimming and discovering the rich seabed of the Cerbicale Islands. The Cerbicale Islands are just across the road from the beach, and you can continue your walk to the next beach. You'll be amazed to arrive at **Tamaricciu beach **, Palombaggia's little sister.

For your lunch break, there's plenty of choice between the various straw huts and beach bars. For your second stopover, make a stopover at the marvellous Santa Giulia. A heavenly beach renowned beyond French borders! White sand, translucent water, you name it!

Finally, at the end of the day, head for the beach at Rondinara. This bay of wonders is 7 kilometres from the main road, so don't miss out! In summer, it's a victim of its own success, and the car park quickly sells out, so come early or in the evening.
