Porto-Vecchio marina

A lively area (especially in summer), Porto-Vecchio's marina is a must-see.

The Porto-Vecchio marina is one of the most important in Corsica. It has a capacity of almost 400 moorings, 150 of which are available for stopovers.

🛥️ The port of Porto-Vecchio is both a marina and a fishing port.

The harbour master's office welcomes you all year round. It also offers boaters a wide range of services (wifi, sanitary facilities, water, electricity, laundry, fuel, etc.).

⏰ It is open every day in summer from 8am to 9pm. Out of season from 8.30am to 12pm and from 2pm to 5.30pm.

Among the services on offer at the marina, you can choose between a trip out to sea, hiring a boat (with or without a licence) or going on a memorable dive.

Various companies offer visitors a range of services. These include taxi and VTC services, car hire, repairs and marine concierge services.

To watch the return of the small fishing boats, head for the Quai des ... pêcheurs!

What can you do in Porto-Vecchio marina?

Whether you're in the mood for a stroll, a family outing or a romantic meal, the port is sure to please!

🍴 There are plenty of bars, restaurants and ice-cream parlours open late into the season. Among the most popular addresses are :

  • Le Café de la Marine
  • Le Restaurant Via Mare
  • Le Glacier du Port

In summer, the entertainment lasts well into the night.

The mild Corsican nights are an added bonus for this corner of the island!

As an added bonus, every Thursday during the summer season, the port comes alive with Les Jeudis du Quai. From 7pm to midnight, night markets and crafts attract tourists and locals alike.

Finally, the fireworks displays on 14 July and 15 August are fired from Porto-Vecchio harbour. The other side of the coin is that this is the busiest time of the year!

Practical information

When is the best time to enjoy the Porto-Vecchio marina?

The port is in full swing from late June to early September.

The peak period is between mid-July and mid-August. The ice-cream parlours and bars fill up late into the night.

The rest of the year, the atmosphere is quieter. In the depths of winter, the port of Porto-Vecchio is particularly quiet and many service providers are closed.

🚌 How do I get to the Porto-Vecchio marina?

From the Ville Haute simply follow the D359 road. Arriving from the south of the town, take the D768 road and the D368 road.

You can also reach the marina by bus. Luckily, the town's bus station is just a short walk from the port of Porto-Vecchio.

There is also a free electric shuttle bus. This links the marina to the upper town all year round.

With the typically Corsican name of "A Citadina the network connects the town centre, the port and all the city's major car parks all year round.

In summer, from June to August, the shuttle runs every 15 minutes. Services run every day from 8.10am to 11.30pm.

In low season, the shuttle runs every 20 minutes. The service also runs every day from 8.10am to 7.30pm.

On Sundays, however, the service is reduced. As a result, operating hours are limited to 08:10 to 13:30.

🚗 Where can I park near the Porto-Vecchio marina?

There is a charge for parking near the Porto-Vecchio marina.

You will find several car parks around the marina.

As is often the case in summer in southern Corsica, if you want to park without too much difficulty, come early!
