🌊 The coastline of the commune of Porto-Vecchio is full of wonderful beaches.

What's more, these ribbons of sand are all different from one another. Each beach will surprise you, so plan to spend some time discovering them!

  • Plage de Cala Rossa: to the north of Porto-Vecchio, this beach is located in the commune of Lecci. Make your way here and the clear water and white sand will keep you there for a long time!
  • Palombaggia beach: the queen of Porto-Vecchio beaches Palombaggia is a seaside paradise for beach lovers. If you had to choose just one, this would be it!
  • Folaca beach: just beyond Palombaggia beach. Folaca is ideal for families and offers snorkellers an excellent spot. Opposite the beach, a submerged rock is home to a rich underwater fauna, so don't forget your mask and snorkel.
  • Santa Giulia Beach: another marvel... Stretching for over 2 kilometres, this is an ideal beach to discover with the whole family! The shoreline here is gently sloping and the water is calm and warm in summer. What's more, there are plenty of amenities here. You'll find restaurants, bars and even a water sports centre on the Santa Giulia beach for you to enjoy your favourite sports.

Practical information

⏰ When should you come and enjoy a swim on the beaches of the Porto-Vecchio coastline?

You can enjoy these superb beaches all year round.

However, the ideal swimming season runs from June to October.

To avoid overcrowding during the summer months, it's best to take advantage of the early and late seasons.

The months from late May to early July and from September to early October are ideal.

The water is still warm enough for swimming, and there are far fewer tourists!

If you come in summer, try to be there before 10 in the morning or after 5 in the late afternoon.

🚌 How do you get to the beaches in this corner of Corse-du-Sud?

Porto-Vecchio's beaches can be found on the north and south coasts of the commune.

Porto-Vecchio is accessible by air via Figari-Sud-Corse airport. You can hire a car at the airport.

Shuttles run daily from Porto-Vecchio in summer. They serve the various beaches, including Palombaggia and Santa Giulia.

There are up to 3 departures to the beaches every day in July and August.

πŸš— Where can I park near the beaches in Porto-Vecchio?

Note that parking is almost always chargeable near the beaches of Porto-Vecchio.

For example, if you want to park not far from Cala Rossa or Santa Giulia beach, car parks charge in summer and fill up quickly!

There are three different entrances to Palombaggia beach.

To park without too much difficulty, come early in the summer!
