The Odet is Quimper's main waterway, 40 kilometres long, originating in the Black Mountains of Brittany and ending its course in the Atlantic Ocean.
The river has a very rural setting, with its banks covered in vegetation and serving as a resting place for many species of bird.
Among the many species you'll be lucky enough to spot are seagulls, cormorants and herons.
The meandering river will keep you on the move. Known here as the Vire-Court, the bends in the Odet are framed by high cliffs.
