After a day full of activities, go back to your hotel to change and head out for a stroll along the seafront to the Agadir Marina. In the balmy early evening, enjoy a drink on the terrace, where you can choose from all the cafés along the Marina.
Agadir is home to a host of must-see places if you come to spend a few days in the city. The Marina is one of the city's main attractions, a warm and welcoming place that welcomes thousands of tourists every year. It offers a wide range of activities, including shopping, drinks, fine dining and boat trips. The Marina has a marina with around 300 boats. Situated opposite the bay, not far from the fishing port, it combines modernity and authenticity. To reach it, a 6-kilometre stroll from the Agadir promenade awaits tourists who enjoy walking. Whether you're a local after a hard day's work looking for an ice cream or a coffee to relax on the terrace, or a tourist looking to unwind after a day of exploring, the Marina is a popular spot, especially in the evening.
Why go there?
Whether during the day or even in the evening, the Marina is an extremely pleasant place to stroll. It extends over an area of 18 hectares, just across from the sea. The construction of the marina was an economic cooperation project between the Souss Massa Draâ region of Agadir and the government of the Canary Islands. The Canary Islands company Marinas Canarias was involved in the project, with a view to forging a partnership with the Marina Agadir company.
The landscape between the hotels that surrounds the coast and the fine sandy beach makes it a delightful place to be. You can stroll through the shops, including the luxury boutiques, but also eat in one of the many restaurants to sample the various culinary specialities and finally have a drink in a café.
The Marina is located at the foot of Agadir's famous Kasbah. The promenade of Agadir just before it is a pedestrian zone. The marina offers water sports activities such as boat trips. Half-day and one-hour cruises are available. You can also opt for a day trip to Agadir from Marrakech or Essaouira to enjoy this idyllic setting.
Other activities include surfing, sailing, jet skiing, water skiing and paddle boarding. If you'd like to watch the sunset, sit back and relax on the terrace of one of the restaurants or cafés with uninterrupted views over the sea.
