The finest observatory in Quebec City

The Quebec City Observatory is located on the 31st floor of the Marie Guyart building, the city's highest skyscraper. Commonly called Complex G by Quebecers, it towers 221 m above the city.

The tower is located on Quebec's parliamentary hill, home to the Quebec Parliament Building and other administrative functions of the city.

A panoramic view of Quebec City

Most of the observatory is glazed. In fact, it offers visitors, who numbered 91,000 in 2016, a bird's-eye view of the beautiful historic city of Quebec. From this perch, you can see Quebec City's greatest monuments, including the parliament, the star-shaped citadel, the port on the St. Lawrence River, as well as Old Quebec and the Petit Champlain district. On sunny days, you can see Île d'Orléans in the distance. In the depths of winter, the view of the snow-covered city is enchanting. It's an experience not to be missed on your holiday in Quebec City.

Venturing onto the Horizons route

As well as this sumptuous view, the 1960s in Quebec City are recounted in the Horizons Trail. This interactive tour features objects, video projections and games for children.
