Palombaggia, the star of Porto-Vecchio's beaches

The seaside resort of Porto-Vecchio boasts a number of splendid beaches, bays and coves.

Its rugged coastline stretches for dozens of kilometres from north to south.

However, of all its remarkable sandy beaches, Palombaggia remains the most famous. In fact, it's a real must-see during a stay in this wonderful corner of Corsica.

The shades of blue, the umbrella pines, the immaculate white sand, it's all there!

In fact, this divine beach promises you a pure moment of farniente, under the sun to be exact!

Discover it out of season or early in the morning!

Palombaggia, an idyllic beach

Imagine fragrant dunes covered in towering umbrella pines.

Dream of a beach of white sand hemmed by a turquoise sea...

🏖️ Palombaggia has it all, with the added bonus of an uninterrupted view of the unspoilt Cerbicale islands.

The Cerbicale Islands are an added bonus for this stretch of Corsican coastline. The Cerbicale Islands form a small archipelago (4 islands and 2 islets) in this part of the Tyrrhenian Sea.

Since 1999, they have been an integral part of the Bouches de Bonifacio Reserve, the largest reserve in mainland France, with 80,000 hectares preserved.

It's an ideal destination for diving, which you can arrange with a local diving club.

What's more, Palombaggia is a member of the exclusive club of the most beautiful beaches in France!

Almost two kilometres long, the coastline offers a beautiful palette of colours. It alternates between red rocks and fragrant green pines. A real postcard setting!

Which activity should you choose?

Once you're there, you'll be able to alternate between lazing around and swimming in the crystal-clear water.

🤿 What's more, the Kalliste diving centre offers a range of options for discovering the world of silence.

🍴 If you want to quench your thirst and eat on the beach, that's also possible in fine weather.

There are a number of beach restaurants and straw huts where you can grab a bite to eat.

👛 Note, however, that prices are high in these mostly short-lived establishments.

The sumptuous setting comes with a hefty price tag, but the location and the delicious food are well worth a little extra!
