Who is this tour for?
Although the start can be a little intense, the walk is accessible to everyone.
"Even slightly older people can do this walk. It's a lovely place to visit. Close to Kandy." Fabien.
How long does the walk from Kandy take?
It takes about 2 hours to go up and about 2 hours to come back down. Remember to take a picnic and include in your schedule a short break to eat up there. A time slot of 9 am to 3 pm seems reasonable.
Safety point:
To avoid getting trapped by the night or the late afternoon rains that are common in the heights, make sure you don't start your hike too late in the morning. A departure before 9.30am is recommended. If the weather is rainy, postpone your excursion, as the heights are often more prone to rain and mist.
